The entire trip was financed by our hard work and our own pocketbook.
We certainly would have appreciated some help and we asked and asked, but none was ever offered or given, save for one donation of $5.00! Whoot!
We slept at the houses and in the back yards of mineral dealers across the united states, we spent at least 20 or 30 nights sleeping in our car and camped out wherever we could.

It was a wild, wonderful, crazy experience. We got to spend a longer time with some friends we only knew from mineral shows and visit our family in Maryland/Pennsylvania
